Ansell family members all Rotary Paul Harris Fellows now

FALLBROOK – Roy Ansell, an 18 year Rotarian and member of the Rotary Club of Fallbrook, presented his daughter Michele with a Paul Harris Fellow pin at a recent club weekly luncheon held at the Grand Tradition. A multiple Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) himself, Ansell has now bestowed the PHF pin on his wife Joyce, and three children Lindsay, Adrian and Michele.

Gordon Tinker, the club’s Rotary International Foundation director, made the presentation and Roy pinned his daughter with a PHF pin. A PHF, (named after Paul Harris, the founder of Rotary) is obtained whenever someone contributes $1,000 to the Rotary International Foundation for worldwide service and humanitarian purposes.

Upon becoming a PHF, a person can then continue to donate to the RI Foundation and either become a Paul Harris Plus member with multiple recognition, or designate someone else to become a PHF. Worldwide needs funded include water wells for villages, the creation of schools and hospitals, books and equipment for both, immunizing children against polio, funding exchange students, and international scholarships.
