Rainbow Water announces opening for Division 1 Director

RAINBOW - The Rainbow Municipal Water District is accepting applications from residents of Division 1 who are interested in being appointed to the district’s governing board.

Rainbow’s general manager Dave Seymour explained the process for filling the vacancy.

“We post the opening for at least 15 days and then the board will evaluate potential candidates and select the replacement. We hope to make the appointment at the February 28th board meeting. The seat is up for reelection this November, so this appointment will hold the seat until January 2013 when the new office holder is sworn in. The appointee may run for reelection this November but is under no obligation to do so.”

Division 1 is in the southern portion of the district, and incorporates the community of Bonsall. Seymour said interested residents should contact the district’s customer service staff at 760-728-1178 to find out if they live in the Division 1 area or to request more information.
