Academy Awards fundraiser to celebrate 'Star Wars'

FALLBROOK – The Kiwanis Club of Fallbrook will hold its seventh annual "A Night to Shine" fundraiser on Sunday, Feb. 28, beginning at 4:30 p.m. at the Grand Tradition. This year’s theme will celebrate 'Star Wars.'

Guests will begin the evening by walking the red carpet to appetizers and a champagne toast. Throughout the evening, they can bid on silent auction and raffle items while watching a live, televised broadcast of the Oscars®. Guests can win prizes for movie trivia games and best themed costume. Morey Sherman will emcee the night’s activities.

Proceeds from the evening will go to support the Fallbrook Child Development Center, the Boys & Girls Clubs of North County, scholarships for Fallbrook High School Key Club members, children's books for the Mike Choate Early Childhood Center, and other Kiwanis-sponsored organizations.

Cost is $100 per person or a table of 10 for $900. Tickets include appetizers, champagne toast, dinner, and wine. For reservations, call (760) 805-1930 by Feb. 15.
