.A vegetation fire is fought to keep it from growing.
At 1:10 pm a brushfire was reported near 395 near Deer Springs Rd. According to NCFPD Capt. Richard Berry, the fire was quickly knocked down and it was kept to a quarter acre. The cause is unknown at this time.
