A white Nissan sedan's engine caught fire on the right-hand shoulder of the eastbound side of SR 76 near North River Rd. at about 6:20 pm on Friday, causing the 2nd lane to be closed.
One person on site expressed disappointment that cars were not pulling over to the right as is the law, to allow paramedics to get to the scene as quickly and safely as possible. There were no injuries reported.
