BREAKING NEWS: Suspect arrested after double stabbing

UPDATE: Ivan Paterson was apprehended, arrested and booked on two counts of attempted murder and one count of child cruelty. Both victims were female and transported with non life-threatening injuries, according to SDSO Lt. Davis.

Ivan Paterson is 24 years old, 6'4" and 250 lbs. According to the Sheriff's department, the call could be classified as a Domestic Abuse case as well, as they were family members.

BREAKING NEWS: Sheriff searching for suspect after double stabbing

BREAKING STORY: Sheriffs have put a call to be on the lookout for a suspect after a double stabbing occured in Poets Square in Fallbrook.

The suspect is apparently driving a white 2005 sedan with Arizona or Alabama plates.

Suspect is reported to be an adult black male, 6"2, possibly named Iván Paterson, 24 years old with dreadlocks. Last seen with a green flannel, blue pants and has an address in Oceanside.

ASTREA is searching the area.

The call came in at about 9:30 pm on Tuesday night 4-30-24 as an Assault with a Deadly Weapon call in the 400 block of Poet's Square. It was afterwards reported to be a double stabbing, requiring two ambulances for transport.
