James C. Stewart Jr., 80

James C. Stewart Jr., 80, passed away on Jan. 1, 2005, in Sun City, CA. He was born on Oct. 22, 1924, in Story, AR. Mr. Stewart was a resident of Sun City for eight months. He formerly lived in Fallbrook, CA.

Mr. Stewart retired after serving as superintendent of the Fallbrook Public Utilities Department for 40 years. He was a founding member of Living Waters Christian Fellowship, a member of Fallbrook Assembly of God Church and a royal ranger leader in the church for 30 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Mr. Stewart was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Stewart, in 2003. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law Larry & Ladean Stewart, Bloomington, CA, and Gary & Teresa Stewart, Sun City, CA; brother Bob Stewart, NM; sisters Lona Hoover, Phoenix, AZ, Lena Haselwood, Fallbrook, CA, and Laverna Freeman, WI; and three grandchildren.

A memorial was held Wed., Jan. 5, 2005, at Living Waters Christian Fellowship in Fallbrook. Rev. Jack McGoldrick officiated. Burial followed at Fallbrook Masonic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to Living Waters Christian Fellowship, 2000 Reche Rd., Fallbrook, CA 92028. Berry-Bell & Hall Fallbrook Mortuary handled the arrangements.
