AVID students enjoy AAUW event

The AVID girls had some creative fun with their mentors from Fallbrook Branch of the American Associationof University Women last month. The girls teamed up with their mentors at the mentors’ homes to bake and decorate cookies for the AVID annual Christmas party. The party was hosted by Chris Young at her beautifully decorated home. Menu items were prepared by the AAUW mentors and dessert was done by the girls. A lottery-type gift exchange and holiday singing concluded the event. AVID, Achievement Via Individual Determination, is a program available to students at Fallbrook High School. Anyone wishing to join AAUW and become a member may contact Joanne Rego at (760) 731-6040.
