Playoff-bound

The Warrior basketball team is on a roll! If you haven’t seen them play, it’s not too late for league. They are currently in first place and will play the Carlsbad Lancers in Carlsbad on Friday. Come watch Fallbrook hold on to their winning streak!

If you are free this weekend, stop by our gym on the 19th to see the CIF Division 1 finals in wrestling. The matches begin at 9 a.m. and continue all day.

Boys and girls soccer have great match-ups against Carlsbad on Thursday. The boys’ game is at home at 4:45 p.m., while the girls travel to the coast for their final game.

This week marks the end for winter sports. Teams will be advancing to playoff schedules; please check the school Web site for up-to-date information about water-polo, soccer and basketball playoff games. Fallbrook winter sports are really on a roll!

With a short week at Fallbrook High, students are very thankful for having such great presidents. The five-day weekend is a nice break for everyone to enjoy! There is no school Thursday, Friday or Monday. Have a great break!

Airbands, anyone? At first FHS thought there was going to be a small number of airbands this year, but more and more are joining! This means the show is going to be even better. Make sure to come and watch students show off their stuff on March 11. Tickets will be very reasonable. The top three places will then advance to the regional competition held on March 25 at 7 p.m. at the Jenny Craig Pavillion at USD. Then, the top eight places at Regionals advance to the Pepsi Airband Championship the next night.

The spirit is back at FHS! The past few weeks have been filled with fun activities on Friday during lunch. If a class competition hasn’t been going on, then there has been music. Students are enjoying the interactive events that ASB is putting on. The next big event is the Sadie Hawkins dance, and the week before will be Battle of the Genders Week, which will be filled with activities and dress-up days.
