Fallbrook Vintage Car Club buys Maie Ellis PTA brick

FALLBROOK — The car club recently added their support of the beautification of Fallbrook’s oldest school with a donation that will last a lifetime. Donations will help pay for the new flagpole area. The PTA-sponsored bricks purchased by individuals and organizations will be engraved with their name and will pave the area around the base of the pole, which is the focal point of the new amphitheater. The amphitheater is being used for our door assemblies and flag ceremonies and is the pride of Principal Charmian Francis, who is retiring at the end of the school year.

Representing the car club was Marilee Ragland, who was a second grade teacher and art mentor at Maie Ellis from 1985 through 1997. Marilee taught for 35 years, with 21 of those years in the Fallbrook school district.
