'Evening of Revelry' on the way

FALLBROOK — Los Padrinos and the Board of Directors for the Fallbrook Child Development Center (FCDC) announce their third annual benefit, “The One and Only Evening of Revelry.” According to Event Chair Ann Logan, this year will be better than ever.

The event will feature a fun silent auction with a fiesta of food stations featuring Mexican food prepared by The Lace Apron. Clare Webber Events is coordinating the fiesta décor. Each guest will bring a great item for the silent auction, then bid on the items.

“It is always fun to see what everyone brings, because the items are great and we see things you don’t always see at other big auctions,” said Susan Lucy. “Our goal is to make $20,000 to benefit the center.”

FCDC operates primarily on grants but also relies on donations. It is under regulation by the State of California. The 30-year-old center currently has 48 children ages 1 through 5 enrolled with a waiting list of more than one hundred. Parents must be low-income, in school or working. All children are prepared for elementary school upon graduation.

“This year’s event will be August 25 at the beautiful hacienda of Renee Ingold,” said Logan. “It is really an honor to have this event at the Ingold home.” Ingold grew up in Fallbrook and is on the FCDC Board of Directors.
