Fallbrook fire

Ramona residents Manuel Renteria, Stephanie Ramos, Stephanie’s children Carlos and Maylise Dealba have been on the move for 2 days. First evacuated from Ramona to Escondido, to Rincon, to Pauma, to Pala then moved to Temecula.

“We have been on the run from fires for the last 2 days. Moved from (above listed), when we got to Temecula we knew there was a shelter and couldn’t find info on any TV station so we were hanging out at Carl’s Jr. on 79South when we spotted a police officer who directed us to the Community Recreation Center. The CRC moved us to TVHS.” Quote from Manuel.

Jaime Miller also evacuee from Ramona, “There is absolutely no information anywhere about Rincon where we were evacuated from. We left with only the clothes on our backs.”

From Buck Linton, La Jolla Indian Reservation, “we were evacuated at 4 a.m., my neighbor woke me up. Fire was everywhere, I had to rush out and get to my father and sister. The only thing I was able to take were family members and my dog Duke. The fire was on our tail, I saw five homes up in flames.”

From Kathy Seaman, Valley Center who was evacuated from Rincon to Temecula.

“We were evacuated from Rincon this afternoon. We took our kids and grandchildren, 6 dogs, three of which are puppies and rushed over here. Fire was almost up to Rincon.”

Per Willa Bagwell, Animal Friends of the Valley over 100 animals have been entered into the shelters at CRC and TVHS. This was as of Tues around 10:00 a.m. Many more animals are expected. Target stores provided food and cages for animals. Horse trailers lined Rancho Vista Road.

Baldwin Park In n Out mobile catering feed evacuees and fire personnel burgers Tuesday evening at the CRC and TVHS.

Jerry from mobil cantering had this to say, “We are here to feed displaced families. We really just want to give back to the community.”

Capt David Hudson, Perris Fire dept, “we have been on this fire since 11:00 p.m., Monday. We have 2 of the 30 engines requested for the De Luz fire.”

Iris Tzschucke and Chester Winfrey of Rainbow, Oak Crest Estates arrived Monday evening. “Usually our evenings are so routine and almost boring. I am just taking in all the families interacting and children playing. We heard our trailer is still there so we are just wanting patiently till we are able to go home,” says Iris.

Both agree Red Cross, Fire personnel have been super and wonderful to all evacuees.

“They work so hard to please and take care of everyone here,” says Chester.
