The year in review : They are fighting for our environment

In 2007, Fallbrook residents were actively involved fighting the Liberty Quarry planned for the Rainbow area, one mile from Temecula. The open-pit mine would be situated on a 155-acre parcel and is said to be planned to be 1,000 feet deep and one mile long. The quarry would be operated by Granite Construction. On a similar note, Fallbrook groups and residents embark on their 18th year fighting the Rosemary
