Fallbrook Hospital receives mammography accreditation

FALLBROOK — Fallbrook Hospital has been awarded a three-year accreditation in mammography services as the result of a recent survey by the American College of Radiology (ACR).

The ACR is a nationally recognized organization that serves more than 32,000 radiology professionals.

Accreditation is awarded to facilities for the achievement of high practice standards after a peer-review evaluation of the practice.

Board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field conduct the evaluations and assess the quality of the mammograms, the qualifications of the personnel and the adequacy of the facility equipment.
