La Paloma celebrates Read Across America

FALLBROOK — With a week of activities, La Paloma students joined the nation in celebrating Read Across America Day. Librarian Beverly Sherman organized numerous activities beginning on Monday, March 2, coinciding with Dr. Seuss’ birthday.
Each day a different state was highlighted and students were encouraged to dress up in clothing representing that state. It seemed that everyone’s favorite dress-up day was Monday, highlighting California and “Native Son” Dr. Seuss. Floppy red and white top hats were a common sight that day.
