FALLBROOK – San Diego County Eagle Scout of the Year runner-up Nick Kovsky, of Fallbrook, received a cash award from Fallbrook VFW Post 1924 from representative Jordon Malbrough during a recent meeting of Boy Scout Troop 731 at St. Peter’s Catholic Community.
The VFW District 1 in Chula Vista awarded Kovsky second place honors out of about 150 Eagle Scouts from throughout San Diego County.
The Veterans of Foreign Wars National Eagle Scout of the Year scholarship competition recognizes outstanding Boy Scout Eagle award recipients who have demonstrated service to their community, their school and to scouting.
