BONSALL – Bonsall Elementary School third grade teacher Mrs. Betschman has entered her students’ artwork in the San Diego County Fair, which is held at the Del Mar fairgrounds. Parents and guests were able to preview the art at a recent Open House held at the school.
“[Mrs. Betschman] is a huge proponent of keeping the arts alive in public schools while simultaneously boosting test scores,” said parent Larissa Scors Anderson. “This year, as one of the many artistic class enrichment activities, her students created mixed-media pieces in the styles of modern masters to submit to the San Diego County Fair. Each student will receive a fair ticket to see the class collage on display.”
The students’ art will be showcased in the Creative Youth & Best of K-6 Schools Exhibit.
