Artist, educator Freda Fairchild coming to Fallbrook

FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook School of The Arts is proud to present artist Freda Fairchild’s polyester plate lithograph workshop September 13, 14 and 15.

This workshop will teach non-toxic printmaking techniques, polyester plate lithography and ImageOn. Fairchild is a multi-media artist whose work is shown nationally and internationally. She works primarily in printmaking but her work is a departure from the traditional. She uses non-toxic techniques and pushes the boundaries of ordinary printmaking. She works on fabric, wood and metal, in addition to paper. Manipulating the surface and layering images create rich surfaces and depth of color.

She constantly experiments and develops new and simpler ways of using the materials and non- toxic techniques.

Fairchild will present a lecture and demonstration on Sunday, September 12 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. for those interested in learning more. For more information on this program and other upcoming classes, visit or call (760) 728-6383. Fallbrook School of The Arts is located at 310 E. Alvarado Street in Fallbrook.
