Free computer workshops offered for seniors

FALLBROOK – Nonprofit Fallbrook SeniorNet is offering a series of free computer workshops at the Foundation for Senior Care Center. The workshop dates and subjects are:

August 9

9:30 to 11:30 a.m. - Scanning, faxing, Sticky Notes, Wordpad and more

1 to 3 p.m. - Security and virus protection

August 10

9:30 to 11:30 a.m. - Backing up files and file organization

1 to 3 p.m. - Buying a computer that fits your needs

August 11

9:30 to 11:30 a.m. - Open Office overview

August 12

9:30 to 11:30 a.m. – Digital photography and Picasa

August 13

9:30 to 11:30 a.m. – Build your own computer

There is no pre-registration necessary for these classes, just come in on the day of the workshop. The Foundation for Senior Care Center is located at 135 S. Fallbrook SeniorNet also conducts a free computer help lab each Friday afternoon from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Foundation for Senior Care Center location. If you are having computer problems, need assistance in ordering a new computer, or need digital camera assistance, well-qualified volunteers are available to help. No appointment necessary.
