Local PEO chapters present scholarships

FALLBROOK – Each year, five Fallbrook PEO Chapters (Chapters AZ, PF, UH, WK, WM) together select a graduating senior girl to be the recipient of a scholarship award from these contributing chapters. This year, PEO Chapter PF hosted a brunch to present scholarship awards to two local graduating senior girls.

The two girls selected were excellent candidates, with great vision on where they are going in their lives. The first recipient was Victoria Kessel, who will be attending Westmont College in Santa Barbara and is studying liberal arts in preparation to earn a teaching credential.

The second recipient was Beth Dunckel, who is attending California Baptist University in Riverside and is studying nursing in preparation to becoming a missionary nurse.

All five chapters that contributed are a part of the Santa Margarita Reciprocity, which also made an additional donation this year so two girls could be selected.

PEO is a philanthropic organization where women celebrate the advancement of women; educate women through scholarships, grants, awards, loans, and stewardship of Cottey College; and motivate each other to achieve their highest aspirations.
