Fallbrook Union Elementary District accepts new student registration

FALLBROOK - Fallbrook Union Elementary School District has begun taking new student registrations for the 2011-2012 school year. Registration is conducted at the school assigned according to the family’s residential address.

To be eligible for kindergarten, a child must be five years of age on or before December 2, 2011. Parents must bring with them a valid birth or baptismal certificate. Health information is also required for registering a child in school. Children must have all necessary immunizations completed. A waiver is available for children whose medical conditions or personal family beliefs forbid immunization.

The state also requires that incoming kindergarten or first grade students have an oral health assessment (dental check-up) and a physical. Proof of residency in Fallbrook will be required at time of registration. The following are acceptable proof of residency: parent’s driver’s license, I.D. card, deed, escrow papers, rent receipt, utility bill, or moving receipt.

Registration packets are available at all school sites with the necessary information and forms required. For more information, call the assigned school. To find out a school assignment, call the transportation department at (760) 723-7075.
