Girl Scout Cadettes earn Silver Award

FALLBROOK – On June 3, San Diego-Imperial Girl Scouts gathered to honor local girls who have earned their Silver Award. Fallbrook/Bonsall girls who earned the honor this year were Katherine Smissen, Allison Warren, and Kalei Whitney. The Silver Award is the highest achievement that can be earned by a Cadette Girl Scout.

Each girl completed several badge projects and performed many hours of community service in addition to a “silver project” that took over 40 hours to complete. All three girls are now working on earning their Gold Award, which is similar to the Eagle Scout Award earned by Boy Scouts.
