Woman's Club members hold seventh annual Rockin' with Santa party

FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook Woman’s Club held its seventh annual Rockin’ with Santa Party on Monday, Dec. 12 at Mary Fay Pendleton School on Camp Pendleton. Fifty fourth and fifth grade students who are part of the Operation Hero program attended. The Operation Hero Program is designed to address challenges faced by many Camp Pendleton children who have parents serving overseas or who have been wounded in action.

Gifts were provided for moms and dads from which the children could choose, wrap, and take home for their parents. During the party, there was face painting and the children were entertained by Michael the Magician.

Prior to the party, the children provided a “wish list” and Santa was there to hand out presents from their list. A party would not be a party without food and pizza was provided by Loraine and Dennis Genovese. Soft drinks and water were provided by El Toro Market.

The party ended with a Grand Prize Raffle – the grand prize being a trip for a family of four to Disneyland. Other prizes included a decorated Christmas tree, a talking Santa, snowman, a hip hop dancing bear, gift certificates from Vans Shoes and Walmart.

The entire party was sponsored by a generous donation from Precision Products, Inc. Ruby Hoffman, a local Avon representative donated some mom and dad gifts and the children received an “Extra Value Meal” card from McDonalds. All of Santa’s helpers received a complimentary McCafe beverage of her choice.
