BWC program to feature opera singer

BONSALL – At the Sept. 4 meeting of the Bonsall Woman’s Club (BWC), a special program featuring Sascha LaRusso, a well-known opera singer, will start off the new club year. BWC meets the first Thursday of the month from 10 a.m. to noon, followed by a delicious lunch.

The club’s new board had to choose a new place for their monthly meetings. For the past 10 years, the club met at San Luis Rey Downs. However, the announcement of their closing on Aug. 6 required a new venue. Pala Mesa Resort, located at 2001 Old Highway 395, was chosen as the new meeting place. Pala Mesa has served BWC quite well in the past by hosting special events such as the most recent Luncheon/Fashion Show in May.

In September, members will have a choice of either linguini and meatballs with garlic bread or a chicken salad. Both meals include dessert and beverage. The cost of the meal is $17 which includes tax and tip. To reserve a seat, contact Joan Kaford at (760) 728-2028. Check should be made payable to BWC and mailed to BWC, P.O. Box 514, Bonsall, CA 92003-1098, including meal choice. The deadline is Aug. 30.

The mission of BWC is to engage in activities for the betterment of the club, community, and country. BWC has members from all areas of north county including, Bonsall, Fallbrook, Oceanside, Temecula, Valley Center, and Vista.
