Boys & Girls Clubs feeling grateful

FALLBROOK – This year, over 800 gifts were handed out to Boys & Girls Clubs of North County kids throughout Fallbrook and on Camp Pendleton; this would not be possible without the generosity of the Fallbrook community.

"We are so very thankful for the Friendly Village of Fallbrook," said Allison Barclay, CEO of B&GCNC. "The community of Fallbrook really came through for us and generously donated toys, presents, and gift cards so that each club member went home with a gift at all our 10 locations. Their smiles were contagious!"

This impressive undertaking is cheerfully managed by the staff of B&GCNC and is possible through donations collected at the North County Fire Protection District, local businesses and churches, and the Fallbrook Library. "A special thanks goes out to the ladies from the Women's Golf Club of California and the Fallbrook Women's Golfers!" added Barclay.

The NCFPD brought their donations on their vintage firetruck, giving a group of club kids a special thrill as they happily helped unload the truck of toys.

B&GCNC has a 60-year history of serving the youth of Fallbrook and has many exciting programs planned for the second half of the school year, as well as into the summer. For more information about the club, visit http://www.bgcnothcounty.org or call 760-728-5871.
