Roy Galloway Long died at home in Fallbrook on Jan. 18, 2013 after a prolonged battle with cancer; he was 66 years old. Roy died in the arms of Karen, his wife of 33 years. He was born in Lynwood, Calif. and raised in Fullerton. He had been a Fallbrook resident for over 25 years.

Roy served as an Army medic from 1967 to 1969. In 1975, he graduated from the UCSF School of Pharmacy as a Doctor of Pharmacy. He enthusiastically loved his profession. In 1978, he founded RxRelief, a staffing agency for pharmacists. His company, the first in San Diego, expanded nationally before being sold in 199...
