Spelling bee results & more

Potter Jr. High had their annual spelling bee on Friday, Feb. 11. Tension filled the auditorium as the seventh- and eighth-grade students competed for the honor of top speller at Potter. In the end, there was a tie for second place between eighth-grader Stevie Ray Eldredge and seventh-grader Hannah Weakley. First place award and top honors went to seventh-grader Wade Colburn, who will go on to compete at the countywide level on March 15. Good luck, Wade!

Monday was a fun day for all as Valagrams circulated around the campus getting everyone into the Valentine’s Day spirit. The fun spilled over into Wednesday, when everyone joined their friends and had a great time at the Valentine’s Dance.

Do not forget, we are honoring the memory of our presidents over the holiday weekend and school will be out from February 17 through February 21. See you back in class on Tuesday, February 22!
