Robert "Bob" Arboneaux,

Robert “Bob” Arboneaux, 68, passed away of leukemia on October 11, 2006, at Palomar Medical Center. He was born on July 8, 1938, in New Orleans, LA. Mr. Arboneaux was a resident of Fallbrook, CA, for 49 years.

Mr. Arboneaux served in the USMC from 1957 to 1978. During this time he served two tours in Vietnam and was a recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star with Combat V for Valor. He worked for Rainbow Water District from 1978 until 2001. He was a member of VFW Post 1924 in Fallbrook and a Sheriff’s Volunteer. He also played senior softball.

Mr. Arboneaux was preceded in death by his father 1949 and his mother, Bessie Arboneaux Deroche, in 1990. He is survived by his wife Barbara “Bobbi” Arboneaux, Fallbrook, CA; sons and daughter-in-law Robert Arboneaux, Jr., Temecula, CA, and Mark & Jacque Arboneaux, Indianapolis, IN; and grandchildren Cruz, Chance and Luca Arboneaux and Sharayah, Blake and Blythe Gorham.

Services were held on October 17, 2006, with interment at the Fallbrook Masonic Cemetery. Donations in Bob’s name can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 9150 Chesapeake Dr., Ste. 100, San Diego, CA 92123. Berry-Bell & Hall Mortuary handled the arrangements.
