Food drive continues at Scouts' Christmas tree lot

FALLBROOK — Fallbrook’s Boy Scout Troop 755 kicked off the holiday season with a canned food drive on Saturday, November 10, to benefit the Fallbrook Food Pantry. In all, the scouts collected over 735 cans of food at two collection points, Major Market in Fallbrook and Daniel’s Market in Bonsall.

The Scouts will continue collecting canned food items at the troop’s Christmas tree lot, which opens Saturday, November 25. The lot is located at 1510 South Mission Road across from Jack in the Box and next to Village Market. The troop is offering a $1 discount for each can of food donated (up to five cans per tree). The funds from tree lot sales go toward paying the Scouts’ way to camp each summer.
