The public saw through attempted bamboozlement

Last updated 12/28/2006 at Noon

It wasn’t the public that was “bamboozled;” the public saw through the lies and attempted bamboozlement. If you believe they didn’t want the Marines out, you have not been listening to the Airport Authority. The Airport Authority in the early fall said they knew that “joint use” wouldn’t work. So why put ballot language out there for the public that implies joint use, unless you’re hoping the Marines go away?

The electorate saw through the muddied waters and lies. You can fool some of the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but not all the people all the time. When big business and the San Diego Taxpayers Association saw the “bamboozling” attempts, they said no!
