Who is a stone-thrower?

This is a response to “Okay, you nasty little stone-throwers…” [Village News, Opinion, 3/29/07].

I live right under the path of every helicopter that flies over Fallbrook. I too go out and wave to the Marines. I silently thank them for saving my life and the lives of my children and grandchildren. I have an adopted grandson (by friendship) serving in Iraq at this moment. He got his excellent training at Camp Pendleton and absolutely loves the Marine Corps.

You say you are retired. Just maybe you should get in touch with someone at Camp Pendleton to see how you could help all of the families left behind. Just maybe this action would take your mind off of the helicopters and give you a reason to also go out and wave to our fabulous Marines. They are saving your life as well as those of all our great American people.

What a shame to call the patriotic people of Fallbrook “stone-throwers.” This is really a good description for those who complain of the noise.
