Water quality report mailed to FPUD customers

Water quality reports for the Fallbrook Public Utility District (FPUD) will begin appearing in all ratepayers’ mailboxes over the next few days. The Consumer Confidence Report will appear as a separate mailing, inserted inside the district’s Pipeline newsletter.

The report explains data regarding water quality for the year 2006. In it are details about where FPUD water comes from, what it contains and how it compares to Environmental Protection Agency and state standards. FPUD’s water met or exceeded all state and federal requirements.

All water retailers are required by the California Department of Health Services to provide an annual report to their customers showing water quality test results. The test results are compared to the federal and state permitted maximum contaminant levels.

Extra copies of the report can be obtained at the district office, 990 East Mission Road, Fallbrook. The report will also be available on the district’s Web site, http://www.fpud.com, or by calling Noelle Denke at (760) 728-1125.
