Fallbrook slumlords

This is an open letter to the slumlords who own the houses at 209 and 221 Almond Avenue.

Because of the people living there, the condition of the houses, the parking lot of nine to 13 cars surrounding them, the loud noises emanating from them 24 hours a day, men urinating outdoors, people living in the unfinished garage and in trailers in the backyards, smells (including marijuana), people raising fighting cocks that crow from 3 a.m. to dusk and the general disruption of lives of their neighbors, two more wonderful people have thrown in the towel and moved from our block.

They bought a house that was intended to be their permanent residence. They put a lot of money and hard work into making it a home to be very proud of.

After pleading for help from the powers that be in our “lovely village of Fallbrook” to no avail, they have moved away. I don’t blame them. Sandwiched as they were between these two intolerable situations, there wasn’t much else they could do to both feel safe and keep their sanity.

This is just wrong. It is sad that Fallbrook allows this to happen.

I fear repudiation against me, my family, our home and cars because my name is required to be printed with this letter. But right now I feel so angry by the injustice to these two good people that I must let you know what you have done by your negligence as landlords.
