Stergulz to be featured at Art Association meeting

The next general meeting of the Fallbrook Art Association (FAA) will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, October 13, at the Hilltop Center, 331 East Elder Street. The meeting will feature a painting demonstration by award-winning artist Richard Stergulz.

Preceding the meeting, there will be an informal “Eat ’n Critique” session from 5:30 until 6:30 p.m. Participants in the critique are encouraged to bring one or two “paintings in progress” and may also bring a snack or box dinner to eat during the session. Refreshments will be served following the meeting. The meeting and critique session are open to the public at no charge.

Stergulz will be demonstrating portrait oil painting techniques at the meeting. He moved to California in 1995 and started painting in a realistic style with a touch of Russian impressionism.

Stergulz will be conducting a portrait workshop from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 19, at the Fallbrook Public Utilities Department building, 990 East Mission Road. Set-up time for the workshop is 9:30 a.m. For cost and to register for the workshop, contact Carol Reardon at (760) 731-6677.
