Steve Smith for Planning Group

Steve Smith, a solid and concerned citizen of Fallbrook, has stepped up to the plate and is ready, willing and able to go to bat for all of Fallbrook to keep this “jewel” of San Diego County green and rural.

He has supervisory and leadership skills developed over a 36-year career as both a principal and a classroom teacher in California schools. His “hands-on” experience of over 20 years as a Fallbrook avocado grower has made him fully aware of the necessity to reign in the urban sprawl that is turning Fallbrook into a duplicate of Orange County.

Steve shows his concern for Fallbrook by his proactive participation in programs that lend to keeping Fallbrook green and clean, rural and friendly. He volunteers as a member of the land use committee, the Fallbrook Community Planning Group, cleans up trash from the roadways, has been active in graffiti cleanup and actively attends and supports the Fallbrook Rotary Club.

A veteran of the United States Navy, Steve has shown his support and love of country by assisting in the manufacturing of the Flags Over Fallbrook and his willing participation in ensuring that the flags are up and waving on appropriate holidays.

Your vote for Steve Smith to be a representative on the Fallbrook Planning Group is a homerun for Fallbrook in maintaining this precious green and rural “jewel” of San Diego County.

My wife, Polly, and I approve of Steve Smith for this position of trust and responsibility.

Rufus Bowers

Fallbrook Honorary Mayor 2000
