$12,000 in scholarships offered by Angel Society

FALLBROOK — Four Fallbrook High students from the 2009 graduating class will be chosen to receive a scholarship in the amount of $3,000 each.

The scholarships will be awarded based on: a signed essay describing their future plans, why they have chosen their course of study and how they plan to give back to society; grade point average; school-related extracurricular activities; and financial need, plus high school transcript and two letters of recommendation from faculty members.

Application forms are available at the FHS Career Center and at http://www.fallbrookhs.org. Applications must be mailed directly to The Angel Society of Fallbrook, Attn: Philanthropy Committee, PO Box 1408, Fallbrook, CA 92088, and postmarked by April 7.

Funds for the scholarships are generated by sales at the Angel Thrift Shop, owned, managed and staffed by volunteer members of The Angel Society. Shop hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
