Coleman and Fernandez named FUHSD Employees of the Month

FALLBROOK – Fallbrook Union High School District Superintendent Dale Mitchell presented John Coleman and Maria Fernandez as Employees of the Month to the Rotary Club of Fallbrook at their Thursday weekly meeting.

Of Coleman, Superintendent Mitchell said, "He builds students' interest in his social studies classes. Students learn more than facts. They learn to critically think." Mitchell said of Fernandez, "As a classified employee she provides a valuable service both as a paraprofessional for special needs students and as a clerical staff member supporting special education at the District Office. Recently, she demonstrated substantial leadership by supporting students and a substitute teacher when the regular teacher had to be absent."

Club Rotarian Steve Jones presented certificates of merit to the two honorees. The Employee of the Month program is part of the ongoing effort by Fallbrook Rotary to achieve, maintain and reward excellence in the employees of the Fallbrook school system.
