Local PEO Chapter UH has annual scholarship fundraiser

FALLBROOK “ PEO Chapter UH spent an enjoyable evening in the home of Dennis and Pat Munyon for the chapter's annual party and scholarship fundraiser. Guests were treated to park-like grounds with a lovely pond nearby, tasty appetizers and a dinner prepared by Mary Mack and her committee.

PEO chapters in Fallbrook support scholarships that provide assistance to local high school women entering college. They also offer various scholarships that are for those women who are continuing their education after having been absent from college for years.

Christi King, fundraiser chairman, organized a live auction event which featured items donated by members. Peter Becker was the auctioneer for the evening which brought humor and excitement to the proceedings. Janel Picone and Julie Peck donated samples of wine, olive oil, and other interesting items that brought a lot of interest to be bidding. Bill Olson, a local artist, provided a beautiful ceramic plate, and Connie Tognolo, a well-known Fallbrook doll maker donated a collectible miniature doll.
