Educational series on diabetes begins March 7

FALLBROOK – An educational series of classes on diabetes will be offered by Fallbrook Hospital on Thursdays, March 7 through 28, from 10 a.m. to noon in Conference Room B at 624 E. Elder St.

The classes are geared towards individuals with Type II Diabetes or pre-diabetes and incorporate the American Association of Diabetes Educators’ (AADE) ‘7 Self Care Behaviors’ – healthy eating, being active, taking medication, monitoring, problem solving, reducing risks, and healthy coping.

The sessions will be presented by a multi-disciplinary team including a certified diabetes educator.

Cost is $10/person and includes materials and light refreshments.

Fee waived for current Senior Circle and Cardiac Rehab members.
