Free workshop for North County residents

NORTH SAN DIEGO COUNTY – Rainbow, Fallbrook and Bonsall property owners (and anyone else who would like to attend) are invited to a free workshop on March 19 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. "Surviving the Storms," a workshop on how to control and manage problems commonly associated with heavy rainfall events on one's property, will be held at the Fallbrook Public Utility District Boardroom, 990 E. Mission Road, Fallbrook.

Daniel Holtz, an agricultural engineer with the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, will discuss ways to help take control runoff, reduce erosion, and manage stormwater on one's property during and after heavy rain events. Residents will learn how to implement best management practices to make their property as protected as possible from rain and extreme weather conditions.

A free raffle will be held and the lucky winners will take home great prizes. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.

To RSVP for this free workshop, or ask questions, contact Karla Standridge at (760) 728-1332 or [email protected].
