Vista man is still missing 

VISTA – A Vista man suffering from Alzheimer's disease who went missing from his home April 17 is still missing and not back home, as was reported Saturday afternoon, according to the San Diego Sheriff's Department.

Edgar Cruz, 69, left his home almost two weeks ago without prescribed medications, according to sheriff's officials, and an active search for him continues.

A news service report Saturday afternoon had stated Cruz "returned home safely on his own Thursday, 10 days after he disappeared."
