Encore members to learn about herbs

FALLBROOK – At the Encore Club meeting, Tuesday, Oct. 3, Diane Miersch, owner of Diane’s Herbs in Fallbrook, will share information about growing and using herbs.

Encore Club welcomes residents of Fallbrook, Rainbow, Bonsall and De Luz. Meetings are held at the United Methodist Church in Fallbrook, the first Tuesday of the month; socialize at 9:30 a.m., the meeting starts at 10 a.m.

Rachel Mason, executive director for the Foundation for Senior Care, spoke Sept. 2 at Encore Club. Members were delighted to receive information regarding the many services the foundation provides for local residents, rides to the doctor’s office or shopping, the club, care advocates, use of medical equipment and even computer classes.

Encore, a social club, has grown to a membership of 193 and always welcomes interest in the club, its variety of activities such as games, pot lucks, gardening, travel and much more.
