Horn allocates $25K to FHS project

FALLBROOK — Fallbrook High School’s Athletic Facilities Improvement campaign to make much-needed improvements to aging athletic facilities has received a major boost from County Supervisor Bill Horn. The Supervisor has allocated $25,000 from his discretionary Community Projects Fund to the facilities campaign. “I fully support the effort to upgrade Fallbrook High School’s athletic facilities,” Horn said. “The improvements will benefit the students and also expand opportunities for community use.”

Included in the $1.43 million campaign are plans to install artificial turf and new bleachers at Warrior Stadium, construction of a 52-meter pool to replace the 40-year-old swimming facilities, expansion of playing field lighting and gymnasium improvements.

District Superintendent Tom Anthony expressed appreciation for Supervisor Horn’s involvement. “Supervisor Horn has always been a major booster for the recreational needs of our community,” Anthony said. “The improvements we want to make will benefit such organizations as Pop Warner, adult and youth soccer leagues and competitive swim programs.”
