Palmer's students perform

FALLBROOK — Mrs. Jeri Palmer’s piano students performed at the Fallbrook Skilled Nursing Facility on July 23.

The first student on the program was Mrs. Betty Johnson, who is a columnist for the North County Times. Recently, she returned to piano study and performance after a hiatus of many decades. Other performers included home-schooled students Sophia (fifth grade) and Claire Brodak (sixth grade) and Marek (fourth grade) and Gabrielle Olives (seventh grade).

Also featured were Neli Valeneia, an eighth-grader who attends Vallecitos School in Rainbow; Stephen Fatland, a freshman at Fallbrook High School; and Chris Norwood and Mathew Miller, eighth-graders at Potter who play in the school’s Jazz Band. Mrs. Kris Waldner, who is a musician at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, concluded the program.

The students played to a very responsive audience and are looking forward to returning.
