Car Club donates to Marines and their families

The Fallbrook Vintage Car club recently presented its last major donation for the year from proceeds of the May 2006 car show. It was a gift in three parts to Camp Pendleton Marines and their families. As in the past the gifts included military commissary certificates and civilian retail gift cards. This year the club also purchased pre-paid telephone calling cards for each of the residents at the new Wounded Warrior Center near the base hospital.

The donations were presented by FVCC president Monty Voigt and club donations chairman Cecelia Njust to Bill Durdin who is the lst Marine Division Family Readiness Coordinator. He works with unit representatives to determine the needs of family members and then helps oversee the distribution of gifts. Donations are welcome throughout the year and Mr. Durdin will be happy to receive your calls at (760) 725-0332.
