Veterans can receive help

Veteran representative Steve Lavoie will be on hand Wednesday, October 25, at noon at the Fallbrook Healthcare Foundation for discussion and information to assist in the task of filling out VA forms required to receive benefits. Steve will also provide details about transportation issues, burial benefits, survivor benefits and other concerns. “Steve is very knowledgeable about veteran affairs,” said veteran Ed Haver of Fallbrook. “The information I received was explained well and extremely helpful.”

The free workshop for veterans is scheduled for the last Wednesday of each month at noon at the Fallbrook Healthcare Foundation located at 135 South Mission Road in Fallbrook. “We have received such a positive response from the previous clinics held over the past few months, we decided to hold a free workshop for veterans every month,” said the Foundation’s Care Advocate, Irene Escobedo.

To RSVP for this free workshop or for further information, please call Irene Escobedo at (760) 723-7570. To learn more about the programs of the Fallbrook Healthcare Foundation, they can be reached at (760) 723-7713 or [email protected].
