Holiday of Lights starts Thanksgiving

A team of 24 has been changing lightbulbs, checking wires and laying out more than 400 displays to get ready for the 12th annual Holiday of Lights, opening on Thanksgiving at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. Holiday of Lights will be open nightly at 5:30 p.m. and runs through Monday, January 1, 2007. Prices range from $13 per vehicle up to $48 per bus.

Featuring more than 400 lighted, animated scenes, this is a spectacular 1.5-mile drive-through light show themed for the holiday season. Patrons drive their vehicles on the renowned Del Mar Racetrack to view the festive holiday displays from the comfort of their cars.

On December 22 and 23, Starbucks will offer samples of seasonal flavored coffee drinks to vehicle guests as they enter the Holiday of Lights route.
