Warriors lose to Lancers in last game of season

On Thursday night, November 9, the Fallbrook Warriors played in front of a large crowd of students, parents, staff and alumni for the last game of the season. The Warriors hosted the Carlsbad Lancers for their Senior Night debut. Hoping to find their first win, the Warriors reached deep but fell short as they lost 13-41. The game had many highlights, but overall the Warriors were solidly defeated by the highly ranked, playoff-bound Lancers.

The Warriors’ two scores came in the second half. The first score was a 37-yard run by Nick Hayes. The second score came when Nick Hayes ran 51 yards, setting up a Bryan Coker touchdown from 10 yards out. The touchdown plus an extra point by Ivan Rojas led to the final score.

The highlight players of the game were: Cody McDole (47 yards rushing), Nick Hayes (99 yards rushing and a TD), Bryan Coker (12 yards rushing and a TD), Jojo Burke (four tackles) and Danny Munoz (two tackles and a sack).

The season was tough, but hopefully the community will look at it as a building year. The team overcame many obstacles and look to bring back the winning ways next year. So, Warrior fans, be ready for a brilliant year under Coach Schmidt.
