BONSALL — Sullivan Middle School had a record 59 entries for the 2008 Library Art Contest. Students had to create their own book covers for the contest.
The student body voted for their favorites and teachers Melissa Gregg, Leslie Burgener and Gordon Ray juried the artwork anonymously.
Finalists enjoyed a pizza awards lunch in the library, where they were presented with ribbons and cash prizes. First prizes were $15, second prizes were $10 and all other prizes were $5.
The art contest is supported by Sullivan PTSA.
