Tchaikovsky Perm Ballet

Saturday, April 5, 8 p.m.

The Perm Ballet and Orchestra has evolved into one of Russia’s internationally lauded companies. They will perform highlights from Tchaikovsky’s most spectacular ballets: “Sleeping Beauty,” “Swan Lake” and “The Nutcracker.”

Shidara

Sunday, April 6, 7 p.m.

With roots shrouded in the fog of supposition and myth, taiko – often called “rolling thunder” – is Japanese folk drumming. Blending astonishing physical skill and stamina with blinding energy and breakneck speed, Shidara resurrects the deeper ancient spiritual purpose of taiko.
